More Than 16.4 Million Confirmed Cases - Worldwide WHO: China And Other Countries Are Under Control

( Geneva, 28th July 2020 ) According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University in the United States, as of 10 am Malaysia time on the 28th, there have been more than 16.4 million confirmed cases of coronary disease worldwide and more than 652,000 deaths.

The WHO stated that the COVID-19 epidemic is far from over, but China, Canada, Germany, and South Korea have contained large-scale epidemics, while Cambodia, New Zealand, Rwanda and other countries have avoided large-scale epidemics.

World Health Organization Director-General Tan Desai said on the 27th: “We all hope that this will end and continue our lives. But the cruel reality is that the epidemic is far from over. Although many countries (prevention and control) have made some progress, The epidemic is actually accelerating its spread.

Tan Desai said that in the past six weeks, the number of global coronary disease cases has roughly doubled. He added that only by strictly observing anti-epidemic measures such as wearing masks, avoiding crowds, keeping body distance, and cleaning hands, can the world defeat the virus.

In recent days, some countries have re-implemented travel restrictions due to an increase in confirmed cases. But Ryan, the head of the WHO's health emergency project, said that in the foreseeable future, it is almost impossible for countries to close their borders all the time. They will definitely restart the economy and restore trade and people's work while controlling risks.
