Las Vegas Reopens · Hotel Occupancy Rate 20% Beat Expectations



( Las Vegas, 5th June 2020 ) The Las Vegas casino in the United States began to reopen on Thursday. Casinos including The D and Golden Gate opened their doors in the early morning. The authorities said that the business in the early part of the market was stronger than expected.


Affected by the coronary disease epidemic, the Las Vegas casino has been suspended since March 18.


Steve Hill, president and chief operating officer of the Las Vegas Convention and Tourism Bureau, said that the overall hotel occupancy rate after the reopening is 20%, which is better than industry estimates, and some casinos remain temporarily closed.


The occupancy rate of MGM Resorts is as high as 30%. Due to the strong booking situation, the group decided to reopen the MGM Grand casino hotel. Other venues that will be opened include Bellagio Casino and New York Casino in New York. .


An international airport in Las Vegas told CNBC that the number of flight seat reservations this weekend increased by 2,000 to 6,000 compared with mid-May. There are also signs of recovery in business organization activities, and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is scheduled to be held in January next year.
