British Prime Minister Urges People To Lose Weight And Reduce Pressure On Medical System

( London, 27th July 2020 ) The British government launched a campaign to call on people to change their lifestyles and lose weight so as not to increase the risk of death from coronary disease due to obesity. The campaign is called "Promoting Health," and measures include banning junk food advertisements on TV before 9 pm, and stipulating food calories on menus.

British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson uploaded a video on social networking sites to promote the event, describing that he was too obese in the past and had always planned to lose weight. He had contracted coronary disease earlier and was even sent to the intensive care unit, making him even more aware of the importance of health. Work hard.

Ministry of Health officials pointed out that people with a BMI index of more than 40 have twice the risk of dying from coronary disease as ordinary people. They described the epidemic as sounding the alarm, urging people to evaluate and improve their living habits and reduce the pressure on the medical system.

On the other hand, the coronavirus outbreak in Victoria, Australia was not under control. There were 532 confirmed cases in a single day, the most since the outbreak, with 6 new deaths, 5 of which came from nursing homes.
